Chicago Dance Crash returns to the MCA for Family Days, a series of youth and family friendly performance installments in the Edlis Neeson Theater. Crash has partnered with MCA to develop a series of performances in tandem with the Museum’s newest exhibit: Slow Dance.
Slow Dance brings together artists who use performance to explore what it means to slow down in a world that constantly asks us to be productive, efficient, and busy. The exhibition looks at performance in two ways: as an art form that happens through the presence and movement of bodies, and as the pressure we experience to constantly work, achieve, and perform.
