Join us for class from 11:00–12:30, followed by an open lab from 12:30–2:00. During the lab, we’ll work together to apply the concepts from class through guided exploration, individual practice, and collaborative exchange, giving you time to develop, test, and refine what you’ve learned in a supported freestyle environment.
About the Teaching Artist!
My name is Wayne Cauthen AKA “Myguy” Wayne. I was introduced to Breakin’, the Hip Hop culture and all the elements around 2006. I fell in love with all of it and have dedicated myself to learning, teaching, performing, competing and influencing a true genuine perspective surrounding Hip Hop. I’ve been blessed enough to learn from Chicago’s breakin’ pioneers who are still around and I’ve performed, exchanged, and competed across the US, Mexico, and Europe. My goal is to continue to evolve my style within in the dance and share as much as I can for our Chicago scene around the world in order to contribute to our Hip Hop culture as it continues to provide a space for creatives and practitioners of the arts.

Wayne will lead a workshop focused on developing originality in your movement and applying it to performance with clarity, intention, and presence.
