Mission

Chicago Dance Crash amplifies diverse artistic voices within the intersection of street dance, concert dance and physical theater, allowing for new avenues of discovery and innovation in Chicago and on the global stage. The company’s fusion-style repertoire and performing ensemble embodies our dedication to being an accessible and innovative dance company, seamlessly blending concert dance and Black American street dance disciplines. We strive to not only provide unparalleled professional opportunities for street and concert dance artists, but also to share the richness of street dance culture and history with our audiences, local schools, and the global dance community.

These commitments are made real with:

  • Signed acknowledgements & agreements of policy made by all Crash employees, partners and independent contractors to abide by.
  • Continued education & training on the part of every Crash leadership position.
  • Transparent practices in hiring & decision-making.
  • Embracing opportunities to improve and be corrected.
  • Choosing human decency as the automatic, first priority when multiple options or positions are presented.

This Professional Dance Company was created to make people’s lives better – not to indirectly serve as a platform for unhealthy conflict, heartbreak, misappropriation, cowardice or by otherwise gaining via the taking away from others.
